Out-of-hours care is provided by Northern Docs Urgent Care.  Your first contact may be a highly qualified nurse who will ask some questions to ensure that you receive prompt advice from the appropriate health care professional. Your advice may be over the phone or you may be given an appointment to attend the nearest Urgent Care Centre. Transport may be provided for people who have difficulty accessing the Centre. A home visit will only be made if thought necessary by a nurse or doctor.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
