The Dovecot Surgery is keen to engage with its patients, to get their opinion on services provided and to consult with them on proposed developments.
The Patient Participation Group
The Surgery has a long established Patient Group, which meets bi-monthly (excluding the summer months) to discuss a range of topics. There is concern however, that the Group is not particularly representative of our practice Population and we are always keen to recruit new members.
Anyone interested in joining should contact the practice Manger in the first instance.
The Patient Reference Group
It is recognised that it can be difficult for patients to find the time in their busy lives to attend a face to face meeting. We have therefore tried to engage a wider group of patients by creating a virtual group who are happy to be contacted a few times a year by email and contribute their opinion to specific issues.
Initially we were asking patients if they were willing to join this group as part of the registration process but it became evident that many were completing the form believing it to be a necessary part of the process rather than out of choice.
